Bigways on the beach

August 28 - September 1

Escape the southern winter and enjoy stunning beach jumps in the tropics. Coached by AB and Craig Vaughan with camera flyers Stephen (SPOT) Tonson and Michael Young. Get ready for 5 days of bigway jumps and beach displays, building up to formation loads by the end of the week. This is a skills based event so you need to fill in the registration form to be accepted. Rego will be released on Monday 4th March, so stay tuned.

Thanks for registering your interest for the third Aussie Big Ways on the Beach hosted by FNFF, Tully North QLD
Dates: 28th August to the 1st September

This is a skills based event and completion of this form does not guarantee you a slot.
Slots are limited and will be allocated to those who have the right skills, attitude and gear to produce safe and successful skydives. You will be required to attend all 5 days.
You will receive an email when you are accepted. Please do not book your travel until your slot is secured.

Bigways on the Beach is proudly supported by the Australian Parachute Federation, Fi Fund, North Queensland Parachute Council and Far North Freefall Skydiving Club.

To take part in this event you will need to meet the following requirements:
Qualified to participate in Bigways (Star Crest rating)
Be a current formation skydiver
Own a jumpsuit with arm and leg grippers
Have a suitable helmet (full faced recommended) and audible altimeter
For the beach display jumps you will need a D Licence, Display General, APF approved flotation device and predictable and accurate canopy control
Commit to the whole event (4-5 jumps per day for 5 days)

You will need to have the ability to:
Consistently achieve a stable exit
Dive in a controlled way to your slot in the formation
Approach, stop and dock on level without momentum
Flat track relative to others on a designated radial
Follow a designated landing pattern safely
Be a team player

If you want to attend but are not sure if you meet these criteria, please DM @Karen Hardy or email ABW@farnorthfreefall.com

Our favourite lead coach is Andrew (AB) Barker and this year he will be joined by the legendary Craig Vaughan. Camera flyers are the magic duo Michael Young and Stephen (Spot) Tonson.

The first day will consist of some warm up 8 ways, before we move on to 16 ways and formation load bigways. There will be display jumps onto Mission Beach and we hope to do a “Day on Dunk” (weather permitting).
